Job OverviewPosition Summary:

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Clinical Social Worker plays a crucial role in delivering psychological clinical services to individuals dealing with injuries. This position employs various therapeutic modalities, including comprehensive assessments, case management, psychoeducation, and both individual and group therapy sessions. The clientele primarily consists of individuals facing chronic pain and trauma, with significant issues related to anxiety, depression, and overall physical well-being.

This role necessitates collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical team to evaluate ongoing treatment, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and engage actively in team meetings and case discussions. Therapists work in conjunction with the pain management team to guarantee the provision of exceptional clinical services.

Services provided are eligible for reimbursement through Worker's Compensation and/or other insurance, depending on the specific rehabilitation services rendered. The position also entails completing necessary clinical and administrative documentation as required by relevant entities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual therapy to adult patients within an outpatient pain management setting.
  • Facilitate weekly psychoeducational classes for participants in the outpatient Functional Restoration Program (FRP), both in-person and via telehealth.
  • Provide brief therapeutic interventions for individuals in the FRP and assess their clinical progress.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for an active caseload.
  • Offer clinical care grounded in best practices within the field of pain psychology.
  • Make referrals to other therapeutic modalities within the organization as necessary.
  • Document all patient interactions and care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Ensure clinical care adheres to all legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California

OR

  • Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist

Requirements:

  • EMDR certification is preferred.
  • Experience in assessing and treating patients with chronic pain conditions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions is preferred.
  • A background in trauma therapy with EMDR capability is advantageous.
  • Experience working with chronic pain and trauma populations, utilizing an integrated therapeutic approach is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients, families, professionals, and colleagues.
  • Sound judgment in patient interactions.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Compensation:

$95,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually

Compensation ranges are determined based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical considerations.
