Senior Retirement Operations Specialist

Overview
The Senior Retirement Operations Specialist plays a critical role in handling complex transactions and providing subject matter expertise involving tax-qualified accounts to home and branch office personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with advisors, custodians, and service team members to drive efficiencies, manage escalations, deliver core services, and enhance the client/advisor experience.
- Support day-to-day needs involving qualified accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Review and validate all required IRA documentation and transaction coding to guarantee proper tax reporting.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues that may cause incorrect tax reporting, applying in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of evolving tax laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on changes and updates.
- Train and develop other team members, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Coordinate efforts with the custodian, Legal, and branch & home office personnel to resolve complex issues requiring additional processing and documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing appropriate solutions to advisors and ensuring seamless client service.

Education and/or Work Experience
- Minimum Work Experience: 3+ years of financial services industry experience, including qualified account operations.
Licenses/Registration
- Minimum Required: Series 99 & SIE or ability to obtain licenses within the first 6 months of hire.
Work Environment
This position requires the ability to work in a stationary position for several hours at a time and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally. Some filing is required. The work environment is an air-conditioned, smoke-free, office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
