About the Role
Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the status of assigned patients by completing history and physical exams, ordering lab tests and imaging studies, and interpreting results.
- Initiate and write orders for patient care, including nursing care, nutrition, IV therapy, medications, and dressing changes.
- Follow standard medical practices and observe strict confidentiality.
- Complete record keeping and attend continuing medical conferences and patient review sessions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's program.
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- Board Certification as an acute care nurse practitioner required.
- Experience as a PA or APRN within critical care, intensive care, emergency medicine, or urgent care required.
