Job Summary

To provide exceptional patient care and education for the fitting, measuring, and dispensing of custom fabricated, prefabricated, and off-the-shelf orthotic devices and other DME equipment and supplies. This role is a key part of our team at Prisma Health, where we strive to inspire health and serve with compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care and education for the use, maintenance, and care of orthoses, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and billing staff to ensure proper documentation for insurance to determine medical necessity.
  • Assist in scheduling patient appointments for initial fittings and follow-up visits in the Equipped For Life office.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of appropriate inventories of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and orthoses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training.
  • NATABOC Athletic Trainer Certification.
  • SC Athletic Trainer License/Certification.
  • CPR Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of DME/bracing and/or Athletic Training experience.
  • Electronic Medical Records experience.
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.

Work Environment

This role requires a high level of physical activity and endurance, as well as emotional stability. Constant movement and frequent heavy lifting are required. We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
