About the Role

As a Principal RF Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex RF systems, including mission payloads, electronic systems, and orbital and space exploration systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects, and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting and challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop RF front-end systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, and filter design.
  • Develop and implement RF frequency planning and optimization techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF systems into larger systems and ensure seamless operation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, analysis documents, and compliance checklists.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our RF systems and processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in RF Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including RF modeling, analysis techniques, and tools.
  • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standard RF principles and practices, including Cosite, E3 integration, link budgets, and antenna patterns.
  • Experience with analysis software applications, such as ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS EMIT, ANSYS SAVANT/SBR+, and MATLAB.
  • Experience with RF test equipment, including Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators.
  • Background in the aerospace and defense industry, with experience working with the US Department of Defense and/or US Military.
What We Offer

SNC offers a competitive salary range of $159,000 - $219,000, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, and three weeks of paid time off. Additionally, we offer education reimbursement, leadership and development training, and a mentorship program.
