Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for employees and the public. The Safety Specialist CDA will inspect work areas and construction sites to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and municipal regulations. They will also develop and implement safety policies and procedures, conduct employee training sessions, and investigate accidents to determine their root cause.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have two years of experience in accident prevention and safety inspection work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid State of Illinois driver's license is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain basic airfield driving certification (Yellow Stripe) within six months of hire is necessary.

Working Conditions

This is a 24/7 on-call operation, and the selected candidate will be subject to overtime based on operational needs. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make decisions quickly in emergency situations.
