Responsibilities- Administer medication and treatments to residents in a safe and organized manner.
- Review and document medication administration records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure medication updates and changes are implemented effectively.
- Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by the Resident Care Director.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Individualized Care Plans (ICPs).
- Transcribe orders and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements.
- Report all accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions to the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.
- Ensure the safe storage and disposal of medications and hazardous materials.
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk management programs and policies.
- LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential.
- Current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
- Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
