Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead MRI Technologist to join our team at the Research Foundation at City College of New York. As a key member of our MRI facility, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our MRI scanners, as well as coordinating with researchers and other staff to meet the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate scheduling of MRI scans and ensure that all necessary equipment and personnel are available.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and efficient workflow for MRI scans, including preparation of equipment and subjects.
  • Collaborate with researchers and other staff to ensure that all MRI scans are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of MRI scans.
  • Provide training and support to new staff members on MRI scanner operation and safety procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of MRI scanner supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of MRI scanner maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • ARRT certification for MRI or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

The Research Foundation at City College of New York is a not-for-profit educational corporation chartered by the State of New York in 1963. We support CUNY faculty and staff in identifying and obtaining external support from government and private sponsors, and are responsible for the administration of all funded programs. We strive to fulfill our essential responsibilities to both our principal investigators and sponsors, and work closely with individual PIs and Grants Officers on the campuses to oversee employment, accounting, audit, reporting, purchasing, and special responsibilities.
