This role is essential for ensuring the prompt and precise posting of patient payments and adjustments to their accounts. You will also be responsible for daily cash and adjustment reconciliation with the patient account system and the finance department for payments processed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions in line with departmental objectives and report findings to management.
  • Maintain clear and precise documentation of accounts and communicate relevant information to patients.
  • Utilize system software, including online payment processing tools.
  • Collect patient copays and deposits in accordance with insurance guidelines and organizational financial policies.
  • Assist patients with billing inquiries and concerns.
  • Manage petty cash transactions and request monthly reimbursements.
  • Complete and reconcile daily bank deposits.
  • Review and reconcile all postings monthly with the finance department.
  • Engage professionally with clients, families, visitors, healthcare providers, and staff, demonstrating a commitment to their needs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and document the review of meeting minutes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of prior experience in a healthcare setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, or stretching may be required.

Working Environment:

  • Standard office environment with potential travel between facilities.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of online banking systems, posting software, and healthcare insurance.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
