Job Summary

National Power, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will play a crucial role in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Installation and Maintenance
    • Inspect and troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
    • Terminate electrical panels, circuit breakers, and transformers with precision, adhering to electrical codes and regulations.
    • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and manufacturer's specifications to implement project requirements accurately.
  • Preventative Maintenance and Troubleshooting
    • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and grounding systems, including measuring and recording voltages, amperages, and resistances.
    • Use thermal imaging cameras to verify and troubleshoot potential issues.
    • Inspect electrical components for wear and corrosion.
  • Documentation and Collaboration
    • Complete all job-related documentation in detail, including project reports, installation records, and other relevant paperwork.
    • Submit completed documentation to the local manager.
    • Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and execution of electrical installations.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety awareness on job sites and during all electrical installations.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED; Completion of four-year electrical apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Possess 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical installation, covering Tenant Improvements (TI's) and Ground-Up Construction from project initiation to completion.
  • Journeyman Certification is required.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with OSHA and NFPA70 regulations, as well as standard electrical safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to give verbal/written reports of job status, repair recommendations, equipment/supplies needed.
  • Excellent driving record and a valid driver's license; willingness to drive long distances to job sites.
  • Good computer skills and comfort with Microsoft software, including Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Adobe (PDF's).

Additional Information
  • Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen are required.

  • This is a remote position and will require the employee to work from home.
  • The job WILL require driving long distances to job sites. Overnight stays in hotels up to 3 nights per week are required. The company will cover hotel costs and provide a meal allowance per company guidelines.
