Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Installation and Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Electrical Panel and Circuit Breaker Termination: Skillfully terminate electrical panels, circuit breakers, and transformers, ensuring proper connections and adherence to electrical codes.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical blueprints and manufacturer's specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of project requirements.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and grounding systems, including measuring, and recording voltages, amperages, and resistances. Utilize thermal imaging cameras to verify and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Electrical Component Inspection: Inspect electrical components for wear and corrosion.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot electrical systems and devices effectively, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete all job-related documentation in detail, including project reports, installation records, and other relevant paperwork. Submit completed documentation to the local manager.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and execution of electrical installations.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety awareness on job sites and during all electrical installations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED; Completion of four-year electrical apprenticeship is preferred. Possess 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical installation, covering Tenant Improvements (TI's) and Ground-Up Construction from project initiation to completion.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Journeyman Certification is required. Demonstrate familiarity with OSHA and NFPA70 regulations, as well as standard electrical safety practices.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills and ability to give verbal/written reports of job status, repair recommendations, equipment/supplies needed. Good computer skills and comfort with Microsoft software, including Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Adobe (PDF's).
Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation: Competitive pay depending on previous experience and current certifications. Overtime is also a factor and is paid at 1.5 X base.
