Summary of DutiesThe Radiation Therapist will oversee the implementation of the radiation safety program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position collaborates closely with the Radiology Department Director and Medical Physicist to maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Qualifications- Master's Degree in a relevant field.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or registration with ARRT (N).
- Valid Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license.
- Certification as a Health Physicist with a minimum of three years of documented experience in radiation safety.
- Completion of 200 hours of training in radiation physics, protection, dosimetry, and biology.
- Experience in radiation safety under the supervision of a qualified Radiation Safety Officer.
- Familiarity with I-131 therapy and related regulatory procedures.
Required certifications include Health Physicist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or Radiation Therapist licensure.
