Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager at Biamp is tasked with supervising all aspects of production, planning, and service operations. This role integrates both strategic long-term planning and day-to-day operational oversight within a dynamic, lean manufacturing setting. The Manufacturing Manager is committed to ensuring the safe, efficient, and consistent production of premium large venue audio systems, aligning output with customer requirements and financial parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of over 45 employees across various production teams, supervisors, and shifts, managing the entire workflow from speaker cabinet fabrication to final assembly and quality testing.
  • Act as an inspiring leader, motivating and empowering the workforce to reach peak performance while fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a healthy work environment.
  • Guarantee timely production of high-quality products to satisfy customer demand and meet corporate revenue objectives.
  • Manage planning and service teams to enhance production efficiency within the facility.
  • Maintain optimal staffing levels and cultivate strong, engaged teams.
  • Train, assess, mentor, and develop employees, supervisors, and team leads to achieve excellence in productivity, process control, quality standards, and timely delivery.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost factory efficiency utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Align the goals of production, planning, and service teams with the company's vision and strategic priorities.
  • Develop, implement, and achieve annual production targets and objectives.
  • Collaborate with leaders from Operations and other departments to fulfill company goals and initiatives.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, on-time delivery, cycle time, efficiency, quality, and cost management in a multi-shift Lean manufacturing environment.

Additional Support:

  • Work closely with peers in Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure coordinated plans that uphold customer satisfaction and achieve site and corporate objectives.
  • Participate as a vital member of the Operations Senior Leadership team.
  • Ensure the factory maintains exemplary standards of organization and cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in manufacturing science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in production management or supervision.
  • Experience and/or certification in Lean Six Sigma methodologies with a proven track record of implementing Lean principles and managing effective change.
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing is preferred; speaker manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lead multiple teams across various shifts to identify and resolve issues.
  • Strong focus on data-driven, structured problem-solving.
  • Capability to develop and engage a diverse team towards high levels of achievement.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and manage challenging situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or other commercial ERP/MRP systems is advantageous.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and remain adaptable in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires onsite presence.
  • Manage work teams across multiple shifts, necessitating flexibility to support employees during off-hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically and frequently lift 10 lbs.
  • Capable of standing or sitting for extended periods.
  • Perform tasks that may involve repetitive motions, including reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, climbing stairs, and bending.
  • Work in an environment with permissible machine noise levels.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required.
