Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Partner to join our team at Wellstar Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and physical comfort measures.
  • Assist with daily living activities and comfort measures, promoting a positive patient experience.
  • Perform basic patient care functions, such as phlebotomy, simple treatments, dressing changes, oral suctioning, and discontinuing Foley catheters.
  • Transport unit supplies, patient care supplies, medications, and equipment as assigned.
  • Document patient care in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and communicate patient care concerns/problems/emergencies to the RN or Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
  • Participate in hourly patient rounding, answer telephone and call lights promptly, and notify appropriate individuals of need for follow-up.
  • Support initiatives of the healthcare team, participate in unit performance improvement initiatives, and maintain equipment, such as blood pressure machines and glucometers.
Requirements
  • High School rising Senior in good standing or graduation from a State-approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Tech Program.
  • Clear verbal and written communication, specifically ability to document.
