Service Advisor Opportunity at Nielsen Automotive Group

The Nielsen Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Service Advisor to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless vehicle repair experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appointments and greet customers in a timely, friendly manner.
  • Obtain customer and vehicle data, and communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problem.
  • Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Obtain customer's signature on repair order and inspect all vehicles for body work, notifying the customer that the work is needed and providing an estimate for body shop work.
  • Establish time promised and maintain CSI rating at least comparable to that of the manufacturer, zone or branch average.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, and ensure that all repair orders are accounted for.
  • Provide estimates of labor and parts, and follow up on progress of each repair order during the day and record on repair order in approved fashion.
  • Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments, and deliver vehicle to customers and answer any questions.
  • Interpret warranty information and policies to customers, and identify ROs that require special handling such as rush, customer waiting, special problem, comeback.
  • Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems involving repairs, customers and equipment.
  • Be up-to-date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by dealership.

Requirements:

  • H.S. diploma or the equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Two years of experience in a dealership position.
  • General knowledge of mechanical operations.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
