Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our Pure Barre studios in the New York City metro area. As a key influencer in building the Pure Barre brand, you will be responsible for running the daily operations and long-term strategies of the assigned studio(s), overseeing the development of all studio sales staff, and driving revenue growth and sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales: Meet financial goals, such as revenue, labor cost, COGS, etc. Implement sales process to schedule prospects into introductory classes, generate new leads using grassroots marketing, networking, and paid social media campaigns, and utilize POS system to generate sales and track client journeys.
  • Leadership/Time Management: Delegate tasks and duties to sales team, schedule and lead monthly and quarterly front desk sales team meetings, and collaborate with Pure Barre GMs and Leadership to share best practices and streamline operations and sales processes.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Oversee the interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and development of all studio sales staff, and analyze class schedules to maximize utilization and attendance.
  • Merchandise: Work with VP of Operations & Talent and Director of Operations & Product to strategically plan merchandise and execute orders to support client needs and strategize sales and offers.
  • Special Events and Partnerships: Organize and staff on-site pop-up classes, trunk shows, in-studio food samplings, and attend events to book new leads, sign up new members, and close immediate sales.
  • Building/Studio Maintenance: Troubleshoot equipment issues, ensure the studio is maintained, and desk staff are properly executing regular cleanings.

  • Relates well to people; inspires trust, and builds credibility and strong relationships quickly
  • Astute in managing multiple relationships and the ability to keep an eye on the big picture/strategic objectives while handling the details of the day-to-day business
  • Resourceful; able to solve problems and move forward without having all the answers
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Studio/retail management experience a plus
Compensation

Salary range $62,400-$70,000 commensurate with experience (includes base salary and monthly commission).
