Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Midwest Vision Partners. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our ophthalmologists and optometrists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with patients to gather information and accurately document their medical history, chief complaint, and present illness.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures, such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry, to assist physicians in making informed decisions.
  • Prepare patients for minor surgery procedures, intraocular injections, and laser treatments, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
  • Assist with educating patients on medication administration, pre and post-operative instructions, and general eye care information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
