Quality Technician 2nd Shift

We are seeking a motivated Quality Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift at International Automotive Components. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our molding operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Protocols: Always practice safety protocols, including LOTO and PPE, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality Issue Identification: Identify quality issues and address each issue appropriately to prevent defects and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving capabilities to prioritize activities and coordinate with customer requirements.
  • Teamwork: Exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities to maintain a positive working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate problem-solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.
  • Company Policies: Follow Company policies and display conduct expected of IAC employees as described in the Work Plant Rules and Work Safety Rules.
  • Customer Quality Standards: Meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of IAC.
  • Lean Initiatives: Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives, and activities.
  • Production Goals: Assist operations to meet or exceed daily production goals and departmental objectives as directed.
  • Quality Alerts: Create Quality Alerts and communication flow down to ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Containment Participation: Participate in containment activities to prevent defects and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Overtime: Work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Perform all assigned tasks per the SOP (standard operating procedures), manufacturing alerts, safety alerts, and quality alerts.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school Diploma or GED required.
  • Computer Skills: Experience with computers and data entry preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving, delegating, conflict resolution, communication, motivational, and team-building skills.
  • Customer Service: Provide the highest level of customer service to every employee on the floor.
  • Excel Skills: Experience with Excel spreadsheets.
  • Organization Skills: High level of organization skills (computer documents, files, information, keeping in order and well organized).
  • Bilingual: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
