Job Description:

This position is a Support Staff role at Bristol Central High School, reporting to the Principal. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students before school, during class, recess, lunch periods, and after school, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with instructional activities, such as reading to students, listening to students read, and participating in other forms of oral communication.
  • Help students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher.
  • Distribute and collect workbooks, papers, and other materials for instruction.
  • Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set and assigned by the teacher.
  • Provide escort and assistance to children as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; two years of college credit or an associate's degree preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with job-related computer hardware and software applications.
