Position: Associate Attorney – Specialized in Creditors' Rights

RAS LaVrar, LLC is a premier law firm dedicated to creditors' rights, offering extensive litigation services alongside thorough collection solutions. The Associate Attorney position presents a unique opportunity to engage in litigation for collection matters, participate in discovery processes, and conduct trials. We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experience in litigation or collections. Ideal candidates should be able to manage workloads effectively, meet deadlines, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently and possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills is essential. A valid Bar membership in West Virginia is mandatory, while membership in other states is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits: Our compensation package is competitive and commensurate with experience, including a comprehensive benefits package. Additional compensation and special consideration will be offered to candidates licensed to practice law in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and/or Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of all conditions precedent to filing actions, including documentation, financials, notices, and demand letters.
  • Review and authorize pleadings and correspondence.
  • Ensure internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal collection laws.
  • Manage contested matters, including discovery and trial processes.

  • Intermediate to advanced computer and office skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to analyze situations and present informed recommendations.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to work independently.

Educational Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • 3-5 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Bar membership in West Virginia.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control principles.
