Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As a Clinical Nurse 2, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of our department's clinical practices.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients of all ages, from infancy to the elderly, in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
  • Collaborate with our interprofessional team to coordinate care across the continuum, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and departmental operations.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
  • More than 15 months of relevant professional nursing experience, with completion of the Nurse Residency Program, if applicable.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, as a healthcare provider, per the American Heart Association.
