Job Summary

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, conducting innovative research, and educating future healthcare professionals.

As a Clinical Nurse 2 on our Postpartum Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to new mothers and their families. This is a rotating position, working 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am shifts, with a weekend requirement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective care to patients, families, and providers, minimizing risk of harm through system effectiveness and individual performance.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to facilitate coordination of care across the continuum.
  • Seek feedback and provide feedback for improved clinical practice, assuming leadership roles and demonstrating how nursing practice impacts the organizational vision, mission, and goals.
  • Comply with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification as a healthcare provider, as per the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Nurse - PA licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • More than 15 months relevant professional nursing experience and completion of the Nurse Residency Program, if applicable.
