Role Overview
The Marketing Coordinator at Salt Lake Bouldering Project plays a pivotal role in fostering community connections both online and offline. This individual excels in communication and community engagement, effectively uniting people through compelling messaging, particularly across social media and email platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Enhance membership growth by developing and sustaining customer acquisition and retention strategies utilizing our expanding contact database and CRM system.
- Integrate the gym into the local community through grassroots marketing initiatives, including event participation and partnerships with educational institutions, non-profits, businesses, and community groups.
- Collaborate with the gym leadership team to design and implement marketing strategies for events, products, classes, and workshops.
- Produce and distribute marketing materials, including social media content, print collateral, and community newsletters.
- Lead the social media strategy for Salt Lake Bouldering Project, focusing on content creation and performance analysis.
- Ensure accuracy of information across various communication channels, including the local website, brochures, signage, and internal calendars.
- Analyze data to refine marketing strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the corporate marketing team to support the local execution of company-wide initiatives.
- Engage with local climbers, staff, and community members to stimulate interest and growth.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of marketing experience, particularly in social media and email marketing.
- Proven experience in community development.
- Skills in event planning and coordination.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Strong collaboration skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Personable and enthusiastic about meeting new individuals and engaging with groups. This role requires in-person attendance at events and frequent interaction with members.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and can lead independently. A passion for climbing is essential, with a preference for candidates already involved in the local climbing community.
- Availability of 30-40 hours per week.
