Pipe Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipe Supervisor to join our team at Frederick Derr Company. As a Pipe Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our pipe crew engaged in construction of water/sewer projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and examine work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
• Estimate material and staffing requirements to complete jobs efficiently.
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Coordinate work activities with other construction project requirements.
• Order materials and supplies as needed.
• Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment using measuring and marking equipment.
• Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data.
• Assign work to employees based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.
• Implement and enforce safety requirements and standards.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience managing a pipe crew in a construction environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, documents, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to implement and enforce safety standards and protocols.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
