Electroneurodiagnostic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electroneurodiagnostic Technician to join our team at ProHealth Care. As an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Neuroscience Center Clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and maintain competency in electroencephalograms (EEGs), including portable inpatient EEGs and outpatient EEGs in the Neuroscience Center Clinic.
  • Apply electrodes on predetermined positions on the patient's head, check the performance of the electrodes, calibrate and adjust the testing equipment, and select predetermined and special electrode combinations dependent on the individual case under study.
  • Prepare patients for exams and perform exams and procedures, gathering comprehensive patient histories and explaining test procedures to patients and family members.
  • Recognize patient or environmental artifact, document, eliminate, or take proper measure to monitor the artifact, and troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Perform various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Registered Polysomnography Technologist or Registered Electrodiagnostic Technician within one year of hire.
  • Specialist expertise in neurodiagnostics preferred but not required.
