The Senior Analytics Advisor plays a crucial role in the sales process, collaborating closely with the sales team to enhance analytic revenue among both existing clients and potential new customers.

This position is primarily focused on the Discovery through Proof stages of the sales cycle. The Analytics Advisor is tasked with constructing the "value narrative" to optimize customer success.

The Senior Analytics Advisor is responsible for acquiring a comprehensive understanding of clients' business challenges, identifying how Dun & Bradstreet's analytic solutions can deliver value, proposing optimal solutions to address customer needs, and crafting a persuasive business case to secure analytics sales opportunities.

This role manages a portfolio valued at $8-10M, encompassing Field and Strategic accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver significant customer value and sustained year-over-year sales growth by marketing Dun & Bradstreet's analytic solutions to clients and prospects.
  • Generate new analytic business through demand generation, opportunity assessment, solution identification, and value enablement.
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and cultivate new business opportunities within a select number of existing and new accounts, with a strong emphasis on up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Engage in business discussions to pinpoint stakeholders, business processes, KPIs, and critical success factors related to opportunities.
  • Build robust relationships with C-level and senior executives across all functional areas of client organizations to drive greater value and business impact from our analytic solutions.
  • Meet ambitious sales targets within the rapidly evolving analytics market by leveraging use cases, best practices, and application knowledge to develop comprehensive ROI analyses for clients.
  • Participate in Account Planning, Business Reviews, and Quarterly Solution Reviews as necessary.
  • Act as a customer advocate to influence innovation roadmaps and customer support initiatives for high-tech industry verticals.
  • Promote Dun & Bradstreet's analytic solutions to customers, internal partners, and the broader marketplace.
  • Engage in industry and company-sponsored events and panels to further establish thought leadership within this domain.

Required Experience:

  • Proven expertise in the business application of analytics across various domains (risk, marketing, supply chain, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills, including model usage and validation, data analysis, and strategy formulation.
  • Familiarity with R, SPSS, PL/SQL, Hadoop, Python, and visualization tools is preferred.
  • Over 7 years of successful sales experience in a consultative, solution-oriented, team-based selling environment, with demonstrated customer-facing experience, ideally in selling analytic solutions to address business challenges.
  • More than 7 years of proven success in driving new and existing large-scale engagements in highly complex environments.
  • Ability to identify new opportunities within existing customer accounts, many of which already utilize multiple D&B solutions.
  • Capability to manage and report on opportunities throughout various stages of the sales pipeline.

  • Ability to gain a deep understanding of customer goals and objectives, and to develop and communicate a vision throughout the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey clear and effective messages to both internal and external audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.

Education and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred (Data Science degree is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% within the United States.
