Position Overview

The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in delivering quality healthcare services. This position is essential in assisting with both clinical and non-clinical tasks under the guidance of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assistance: Support patients with mobility and personal care needs.
  • Daily Living Activities: Aid patients in their routine activities, ensuring comfort and dignity.
  • Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient care and activities.
  • Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient areas are clean, organized, and that medical equipment is properly maintained.
Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

  • Must obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire, with accepted certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Preferred: Nurse Aide certification from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry or any recognized authority.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or at least one year of relevant work experience.
