Kitchen Lead Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Kitchen Lead to join our team at Tokyo Joe's. As a Kitchen Lead, you will be responsible for leading the Back of House Operations, on shift, in the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Production: Lead the kitchen in food preparation and production with attention to quality and presentation.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead all kitchen positions proficiently, following all Tokyo Joe's standards and procedures.
  • Prep List Management: Creates and follows through on the completion of the kitchen prep list.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Leader in food safety, sanitation, kitchen cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
  • Knife Handling: Proficient Knife handling skills.
  • Communication and Delegation: Manage others through positive communication, teamwork, and delegation to complete tasks.
  • Restaurant Operations: Open and close the restaurant by executing high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Receiving and verifying food deliveries ensuring FIFO organization.
  • Crisis Management: Crisis management and ability to react quickly to change.
