Adjunct Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Laboratory Sciences courses in our Campus Within Walls program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in a correctional setting.

• Teach Laboratory Sciences courses to students in a correctional setting
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Assess student learning and provide feedback
• Meet college deadlines and submit required reporting
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

• Masters degree in Laboratory Sciences or a related field
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Adept knowledge of instructional technologies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff, students, and external constituencies
• Ability to meet college deadlines and submit required reporting
• Must pass Virginia Department of Corrections background screening

• Prior working experience in a community college or higher education setting
• Prior working experience in a correctional center
• Professional experience with PeopleSoft or similar student registration software program
• Prior working experience with Learning Management Systems, especially Canvas
• Professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite Software
