Key Responsibilities
  • Assist classroom teachers with instruction and discipline in general education settings
  • Provide small group tutoring and instruction to students
  • Grade papers and perform other classroom duties as assigned by the teacher
  • Assist with planning for instruction and develop classroom behavior management plans
  • Monitor student behavior and provide reinforcement for appropriate behavior
  • Administer behavioral consequences under the direction of the teacher
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the site administrator, including assistance with parental contacts, ordering supplies, and student record keeping
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of 60 semester hours or a passing score on the ETS/Praxis Paraprofessional examination
Work Environment

This position is located in a school setting and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
