Responsibilities

  • Stock and maintain product on shelves, including knowledge of code dating and expiration dates.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure that the store meets out-of-stock percentage goals.
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving, and ordering functions.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and clean work environment, prioritizing the safety of Team Members, guests, and products.
  • Unload and store food items in prep areas and coolers, and properly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines.
  • Set up displays on the sales floor and assist with maintaining back room efficiency.
  • Receive and process vendor deliveries, ensuring that vendors are delivering product to the receiving area during established delivery times.
  • Prepare product for stocking by cutting open pallets, pricing, and loading onto flats.
  • Maintain a clean and organized backroom/receiving area operation, including making cardboard bales with bailer paper crusher.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and communicate, including tasting and experiencing new product offerings.
  • Become familiar with products in the store to answer customer questions and make suggestions.
  • Actively participate in and promote an environment that values diversity, inclusion, and respect for Team Members, customers, vendors, and the community.
