The Virtual Production Coordinator (VPC) plays a crucial role in the upkeep and management of the Virtual Production System (VPS), overseeing class schedules, faculty and student utilization, as well as the organization of production for research initiatives and client/student projects.


Key Responsibilities:


Assist in maintaining the Master Schedule for the VPS, catering to academic, professional, and research needs. Ensure the functionality of various VPS systems. Stay updated with technological advancements related to virtual, volumetric, and XR production. Support the maintenance and enhancement of Studio V1. Represent Full Sail and the VPS in marketing and public relations activities. Educate students on the technologies utilized in VPS through courses, labs, and seminars, focusing on virtual production. Collaborate on research, development, and integration of innovative technologies that could improve virtual production.

Implement directives from the Studio V1 Manager to interns and work-study students, as well as project-specific staff. May supervise Federal Work Study (FWS) and other studio personnel. Represent Full Sail in partnerships and other outreach initiatives. Oversee student production teams utilizing the VPS for academic projects.

Additional Responsibilities:
Comply with Full Sail University's policies and procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student and organizational information. Exhibit a strong commitment to the mission and values of the institution. Adhere to company attendance policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Studio V1 Manager.

Qualifications:

A working knowledge of 3D software such as Maya, Blender, and Unreal. Familiarity with film and video production processes. Strong communication and presentation skills. Understanding of system integration, including signal flow and file management.

The ability to engage professionally with students, faculty, and staff is essential.

Education and Experience:
A minimum of four (4) years of relevant and verifiable experience in film production, game art, or virtual production is required. A Master's or Bachelor's degree in a field related to virtual production, such as Film, Digital Cinematography, Game Art, Game Design, or Computer Animation, is necessary. Experience in information technology (IT), information management technology, or computer science is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications:
Unreal Fellowship training is preferred but not required.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must be capable of using both iOS and PC systems with a solid understanding of computer technologies. Experience with software including Unreal game engine, 3D environment creation, animation skills using Maya or Blender, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is beneficial. Alternatively, experience in film production workflows, grip and lighting, camera operation, and post-production is valuable.


Work Environment:
The role is performed in a recording studio, project studio, computer lab, or live event production facility.

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, effective communication with students, instructors, and support staff is required, along with appropriate interaction with computer systems and audio, video, and lighting production equipment as necessary.

The position may involve physical tasks such as bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.

Candidates should be accustomed to the physical demands of production work, which may include lifting equipment such as lighting, camera, and grip gear.
