About the Role

As a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Las Palmas Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and supporting the health and well-being of our patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding to changes in their condition
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Supporting patients and their families during the labor and delivery process
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current Texas or Compact State Nursing License – RN
  • NRP Certification (Chapters 1-9) within 3 months of hire or immediately with Newborn, Labor and Delivery/Antepartum experience
  • ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire or immediately if required at previous employer
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring through AWHONN within 6 months from finish of floor orientation
  • Graduate from an Accredited Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing Program
