**Job Summary:**

The Haul Truck Operator is responsible for safely moving material from the quarry to the primary crusher or surge pile. The operator must be aware of maintaining efficient loading/hauling practices.

**Essential Functions:**

* Effectively operate a haul truck or other equipment such as front end loader, dozer, and excavator as needed.
* Perform routine inspection and maintenance on equipment.
* Notify supervisor of safety, mechanical, or electrical issues with assigned equipment.
* Deal with customers, co-workers, and management in a courteous and respectful manner.
* Maintains constant awareness of safety, efficiency and displays a flexibility and out of the box thinking with the capability to solve problems.
* Willing to work outside in all types of weather.
* Other duties as assigned.

**Qualification and Experience:**

* Ability to work a flexible schedule during peak times.
* Prior experience working in a mining environment preferred.
* Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment.
* Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
* Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

**Work Environment:**

* Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.

* The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.

**Physical Capabilities:**

* Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
