Subcontract Management Team Engineer/Principal Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontract Management Team Engineer/Principal Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Subcontract Management Team, you will be responsible for managing subcontractors and ensuring the successful execution of our programs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of technical expertise in subcontract management and engineering principles.
- Develop and implement subcontract management strategies to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with subcontractor performance.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractor meetings, reviews, and negotiations to ensure successful program execution.
- Develop and maintain subcontractor performance metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and support to subcontractors to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 2 years of experience or Master's degree with 0 years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to understand engineering challenges, coordinate with NG Engineering team in identifying paths for resolution, and driving engineering execution.
- Ability to take complex technical challenges and decomposing the information into chart packages to brief to program management & leadership team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with subcontractors on DoD programs.
- Familiarity with Microsoft suite of tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Experience with engineering, manufacturing, and development life cycle.
- Experience with cost plus DoD contracts.
- CAM or Earn Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
- Experience with CAMEO/Model Based Systems Engineering, DOORs, or CPLM systems.
