Principal Parts Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal Parts Engineer / Sr. Principal Parts Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing full-spectrum corrosion management tasks on assigned systems and sub-systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain corrosion mitigation methods, corrosion evaluation and verification methods, and corrosion prevention and control plans (CPCPs)
- Perform issue tracking and risk mitigation for all corrosion issues
- Collaborate with systems engineers, design engineers, project managers, reliability engineers, and external customers to establish corrosion best practices
- Present and communicate with senior leadership on cost/time savings opportunities related to corrosion and service life of hardware designs
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience
- Active DOD Secret security clearance or higher granted or approved within the last 6 years
- Eligibility to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable amount of time
- Experience with Air Force, Navy, or Army programs
- Experience with development programs
- Experience with coordinating and performing failure analysis for mechanical and electrical assemblies and materials
- Competitive salary range: $84,200 - $139,600
