Nurse Specialist for Child Developmental Delays

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Peace Hospital's Children's Developmental Delay Unit- 3 East. This is an exciting opportunity to provide compassionate care to children aged 3-12 with developmental delays who require inpatient psychiatric care.
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift: Full-time, 7a-7p
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide direct nursing care to patients with complex needs, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing the physical and emotional well-being of children with developmental delays.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Assess patient needs, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal outcomes.
- Document patient progress, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and successful completion during new hire orientation.
- Competitive salary range $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
