Our therapeutic approach emphasizes individualized support, crisis prevention, and stabilization of client placements. We work collaboratively with treatment teams and direct care staff to develop behavior support plans and milieu support plans.
Job Description
The Therapeutic Behavioral Support Specialist will be responsible for providing individualized support to clients in maintaining safe and healthy behaviors in residential, community, and school settings. This role requires significant experience related to child care or supervision of children and/or adolescents, or experience in providing therapeutic interventions with clients who have severe emotional and behavioral concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to clients in maintaining safe and healthy behaviors
- Work directly with clients in the program and other related settings (e.g. schools, community, residential programs)
- Develop and implement behavior support plans and milieu support plans in collaboration with treatment teams and direct care staff
- Supervise activities of clients who have finished their secondary schooling and youth who need specialized support
- Provide and maintain ILS (Independent Living Skills) training plan based on assessments
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required
- Significant experience related to child care or supervision of children and/or adolescents, or experience in providing therapeutic interventions with clients who have severe emotional and behavioral concerns
- Ability to perform Safe Crisis Management techniques
Salary
$18.00 per hour, varying depending on level of experience
