Job Summary:

We are seeking a Special Education Assistant to join our team at the Visalia Unified School District. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with special needs and want to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, working closely with teachers and other educational staff to implement IEPs and achieve academic goals
  • Assist with behavioral management, including de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement strategies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and community stakeholders
