About the Job

Methodist Hospital is seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist PRN to join our team. As a Vascular Technologist, you will perform diagnostic procedures to include arterial/venous Dopplers and vascular imaging as directed by physician order.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize and maintain a background in anatomy, physiology, physics, and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the physician.
  • Maintain department supplies and equipment and participate in the quality control initiatives of the department.
  • Acquire signed physician orders with appropriate indicators for all exams and demonstrate good judgment in responding to STAT calls.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures applicable to the job and recognize impending crisis situations to prevent further complications.

Requirements

  • Must have and maintain American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in either Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
  • Successful completion of training program in ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or vascular technology, or an Associate of Science or higher degree.
