Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high-quality food production and presentation for a la carte and catered events.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation practices.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to determine menu requirements and necessary food supplies.
  • Prepare and cook food items according to specifications, ensuring proper presentation and sanitation.
  • Portion and serve food to servers upon order.
  • Prepare cold side items in accordance with menus and specials.
  • Assist in food preparation for various events as needed.
  • Keep the kitchen area clean, including walk-in freezers and storage areas.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Report any food supply shortages or issues to the Sous Chef or supervisor.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food supplies when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Prepare hot food items for banquets and support other cooks in food preparation.
  • Ensure the station is properly shut down at the end of each shift, including turning off equipment and securing storage areas.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a culinary role is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations in a high-quality environment.
  • Serve Safe certification is mandatory.
  • Understanding of sanitation practices is crucial.
  • Effective communication skills in English are required to interact with team members and management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and commitment to exceeding expectations.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. The role is set in a kitchen environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
