At Vitesco Technologies, we are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction by focusing on meeting customer requirements and mitigating problems utilizing extensive data and resources within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish direct and frequent communication with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate in the development and launch of new, world-class products and processes, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Engage with international partners to find optimal solutions to problems and make improvements to parts and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Implement changes concerning process, components, and product design improvements, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced data gathering software and techniques to solve and prevent problems related to process design, product design, and software, driving data-driven decision-making.
  • Enhance overall line yields and reduce scrap costs through innovation, quality improvement, and the incorporation of new technologies, driving business growth.
  • Develop and document continuous improvement projects to optimize quality and reduce costs and non-value-added work, ensuring a culture of excellence.
  • Formulate audit plans, process routings, mistake-proofing, and controls to prevent defects, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Teach, train, and coach staff on proper techniques, quality initiatives, and improvement opportunities, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering & quality, with a strong background in problem-solving and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, Teams), with experience in data analysis and software tools.
  • Willingness to assist and support after-hours equipment and process issues remotely or in person as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable, assignable actions, driving results-oriented solutions.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures, work styles, and motivation levels, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Language skills: Fluent English is mandatory; Spanish is preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with international partners and stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Over 6 months of manufacturing experience, with a strong background in process improvement and quality management.
  • Strong electrical aptitude, with experience in electrical engineering and design.
  • Experience/knowledge in problem-solving techniques/tools, with a strong background in data analysis and software tools.
  • Familiarity with Quality core tools such as FMEA, MSA, with experience in quality management and process improvement.
