Concrete Estimator Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Estimator to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a Concrete Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects, providing accurate estimates and quotes which are integral to our budgeting process.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates of materials and labor for concrete construction projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Prepare and present cost estimates and budget proposals to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in order to maintain competitive edge.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in concrete estimating or a related field.
• Proficient in industry software, including estimating, project management, and financial analysis tools.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Proven ability to negotiate and build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on attitude.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
