Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

You will work independently to diagnose and repair complex issues, and will be trusted to mentor new technicians and contribute to the growth and development of our team.

As a Penske Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, including diesel engines, transmissions, and differentials, and will be trained on the latest technology and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Mentor new technicians and contribute to the growth and development of our team
  • Work independently to complete tasks and projects
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to achieve common goals

Requirements:

  • 3 years of practical experience with diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to solve problems and think critically
