Job Summary:

The Specialty Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is a licensed independent provider responsible for managing health problems and coordinating healthcare for identified patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and within the scope of practice for the Board of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with safety and emergency procedures.
• Comply with Hospital/Department/Unit policies.
• Document activities consistent with Hospital/Department/Unit Guidelines.
• Perform critical/frequent procedures or services.
• Provide care/services based on identified needs.
• Use required equipment for providing care/services.
• Consult with Hospital/department resources.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility as per job classification.
• Demonstrate Core Values Guest Relations/Guest Service Standards.
• Demonstrate Core Values Based on Behavioral Standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current APRN licensure required. BLS required.
• Minimum of three years full-time experience as APRN in specialty area. Must possess and maintain BLS and ACLS. Demonstrated clinical competence; ability to collaborate with others; ability to initiate and plan own activities; effective patient/staff teaching. Must apply for hospital privileges.

Requirements:

Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines, and understand the Associate Handbook and all hospital policies.
