Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team in the Emergency Department at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing safe patient care under physician delegation, administering medications, and completing accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

Responsibilities
  • Administers IV fluids, medications, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record
  • Provides consistent attention to patient needs, including airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility, and hygiene
  • Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices
  • Cervical collar management
  • External defibrillation
  • Nasal cannula or oxygen mask application
  • Oral airway insertion and removal
  • Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV access
  • Draw blood from ports
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required
  • EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or LP - Licensed Paramedic
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required
