Key Responsibilities:

MV Transportation is looking for a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of a part-time

Compensation Processing Specialist.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the capability to meticulously prepare and manage payroll for all project personnel on a bi-weekly schedule, assist with administrative tasks related to employee records, and generate monthly reports for our client.

This role necessitates close collaboration with the Accounting Manager and Division Manager to guarantee that all project staff hours are processed efficiently and accurately.



Essential Duties:


1. Input all payroll data daily into the designated software, noting any potential pay discrepancies and ensuring the precision of employee time records.
2. Maintain an accurate payroll template to ensure all hours are accounted for and compensated.
3. Distribute paychecks on a bi-weekly basis.

4. Prepare daily and weekly reports for the Operations Manager and General Manager, comparing revenue hours with payroll hours to county specified hours.
5. Address employee inquiries regarding hours worked, pay rates, taxes, garnishments, and paycheck discrepancies.
6. Ensure the accuracy of payroll accounting in the general ledger and monthly financial statements.
7. Update and maintain payroll-related employee record information.
8. Process wage and salary adjustments accurately and efficiently.
9. Provide timely updates to employees through memoranda and other communication methods.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience in data entry, payroll processing, and clerical tasks.
3. Strong organizational abilities.
4. General knowledge of Windows-based computer operating systems.
5. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
6. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong customer service orientation.
8. Ability to work independently and adhere to instructions.
9. Professional appearance and demeanor.
