Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at the Fulton County Jail facility in Atlanta, GA. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the dental department in a fast-paced correctional healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate dental services and assist the Dentist with patient care, instruments, supplies, and documentation.
• Assist in documentation and maintenance of all patient dental records.
• Assist in triaging and scheduling of all dental sick call requests.
• Prepare the clinic with appropriate instruments and materials for scheduled visits.
• Assist the Dentist during treatment by providing instruments, materials, retraction, or suction.
• Mix and fabricate all restorative materials.
• Ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
• Sterilize and disinfect equipment and tools.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Current certification in CPR and first aid.
