Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design efforts as the fire protection subject matter expert in project team meetings.
  • Develop complex redline layouts and designs for estimating and execution.
  • Create and manage engineering and shop drawings, specifications, calculations, and material submittals from initial concept through listing and fabrication.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with construction documents and resolve design challenges during construction.
  • Mentor and oversee less-experienced engineers, ensuring high-quality output for projects of varying sizes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of fire protection design experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Expertise in fire protection system design and a general understanding of other trade/system operations.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office (Excel), and reading construction documents.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
