Job Title: Overnight Youth Counselor

Mount Prospect Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Youth Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our residential facility, you will play a pivotal role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist second shift faculty in completing bedtime routines and preparing students for the day.
  • Conduct regular bed-checks and provide floating crisis support to students engaging in unsafe behaviors.
  • Encourage student success, engage students, and celebrate their achievements.
  • Practice 100% supervision of students and manage personal stress effectively.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings, plan and execute life-relevant programming, and internalize daily schedules.
  • Document service delivery and behavior-related incidents in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree or 60 college credits.
  • OR the equivalent of 2 years of full-time experience working with children.
  • Valid driver's license required & 21 + years of age.
  • Satisfactory completion of background and applicable pre-employment checks.
